My first blog post! I thought that I’d start off by giving my thoughts on the CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths. Spoilers lie ahead. You’ve been warned

I felt as if there was some pretty stand out moments that made me and probably many DC fans stand up and cheer. But that is not to say that this crossover was prefect. There were some definite flaws that I felt could have been handled better.
I felt that Part 1 was very well done for it had to do. It had to get everyone together which is very time-consuming in every crossover that the CW has done, but I think that they have found a way to fix, which I will talk about later.
I think that they killed Oliver too soon in the crossover. He didn’t have much to do in the first few parts, but he still played a major role, which is how it should be since this is the closeout for the character. The great acting from Melissa Benoist also sells the heartbreak when she loses her earth. The many, and I mean MANY cameos from the crossover are really well done. I think the best cameos, in my opinion, were probably the Titans, Tom Welling, and the out of know where surprise cameo from Erza Miller.
One problem I had with the Crossover had to do with the choice of Paragons. I agree with The Black Lion’s thoughts on who the paragons should have been. Check him out on YouTube! I think that there should have been more diversity, it terms of earths.
I really enjoyed seeing Kevin Conroy as an older Bruce Wayne and Brandon Routh as Superman. Both did excellent in their portrayals. In Part 3, when Earth-90 Flash sacrifices himself, that is a very touching moment. The betrayal from Harbinger is pulled straight out of the comics. I wish that Tom Cavanagh’s Pariah had more to do. The cliffhanger for Part 3 is really excellent.
Part 4 kicks off with a bang and ended with me in tears. I didn’t like the scattering of the Paragons in memories. I just think that Part 1 spent so much time getting the heroes together that them having to do it again is a bit dumb. The climactic battle in Part 4 is, to me, underwhelming. Oliver’s death, however, is done amazingly well especially with his last words going to Barry and Sara.
Then, Part 5 comes, and we see the multiverse restored due to Oliver. Again, the team has to come together. I just don’t understand why they had to do that again. Of course, we learn that Black Lightning, Supergirl, and the main Earth have merged to form Prime Earth. This will allow future crossovers to be easier. Part 5 felt a lot lighter and fun in tone in comparison to the other episodes, but again I felt underwhelmed in the final showdown with the Anti-Monitor. Maybe it’s due to the lack of heroes compared to other crossovers. The ending shows the seeds for the Justice League to form. (roundtable and all)
The teaser at the end teases one of strangest things they could have chosen, with Gleek from the Wonder Twins being referenced. I wonder if this is just simply a nod for if this could mean the appearance of the Wonder Twins is imminent. Overall the crossover succeeded in giving Arrow an amazing send off and changing the Arrowverse is many ways, in terms of character development, storylines, and fan moments.
(Also, the Doom Patrol appear in the end which is greatest thing ever!)
